Android Notifications 🤖
Android offers great flexibility, but that can sometimes interfere with critical alerts. Use the steps below to make sure your device receives all E3 notifications reliably.
If you don't have the correct device configurations, you will see messages pop up as you open the E3 App.
Follow the steps below to fix these to make sure your device will receive critical notifications during an emergency.

Allowing Notifications
If E3 isn’t allowed to show notifications, you’ll see a prompt when you open the app.
Tap Allow to give it permission..
Allowing Alerts to Bypass your Do-Not-Disturb Settings
You might see a message asking you to allow notifications to bypass Do Not Disturb.

Tap Ok, then go to Emergent3 in your settings.

Toggle Allow Do Not Disturb on.

When prompted, tap Allow again.

Disabling Battery Optimization for E3
If you don't have the E3 app disabled for battery optimization in your settings, you will see the message below.
Tap Ok > Tap Not Optimized > Tap All Apps > Look for and Tap Emergent3 > Tap Do Not Optimize
Or, follow the instructions in the animation below.
Enabling Unrestricted Battery Usage
If you're using the E3 app on your Google Pixel and want to ensure it runs without battery restrictions in the background, follow these simple steps:
Go to App battery usage > click on Emergent 3 > Allow background usage > set to on and click on it > Set to unrestricted

Allowing E3 to Display Crucial Information Over Other Apps
The next message will ask you to allow E3 to display crucial information on top of other apps in the settings.
Tap Ok > Tap All > Look for and Tap Emergent3 > Toggle on the Display Over Other Apps switch.
