Editing Users, Viewing Devices, and Test Notifications

Learn how to edit other users, view registered devices, send test notifications, log them out from one or all devices, and assign them roles.

Assigning Roles

Step 1:

Select the Group of the user you want to assign a role to.

Then, click Settings > Group Members.

Step 2:

Click the Pen icon of the user.

Step 3:

Edit the role(s) of the user and click Save when you're done.

 


 

Editing Another User

Step 1:

Select the Group of the user you want to edit.

Then, click Settings > Group Members.

Step 2:

Click the Pen icon of the user you want to edit.

Step 3:

From here, you can edit the user's profile by uploading a new display photo or updating the user's basic information.

Click on Save once done to update the profile.

 


 

Viewing Registered Devices

Step 1:

Select the Group of the user you want to view registered devices of.

Then, click Settings > Group Members.

Step 2:

Click the Pen icon of the user.

Step 3:

Click on the Registered Devices button.

Step 4:

This page will display all the devices where the user has an active E3 account signed in.

These devices will receive notifications in the event of an alert.

 


 

Sending Test Notifications

To ensure that your members can receive alerts during critical times, you have the option to send a Test Notification to individual members. This eliminates the need to send a drill or alert to the entire school just to check if members are receiving notifications.

Step 1:

Select the Group of the user you want to send test notifications with.

Then, click Settings > Group Members.

Step 2:

Click the Pen icon of the user.

Step 3:

Click on the Registered Devices button.

Step 4:

Click on the device you want to send a test notification to.

Step 5:

Click on the Send Test Notification button. Within a few seconds, a notification should appear on the desired device.

Step 6:

A test notification will appear on the device.

 


 

Logging Out A User

Step 1:

Select the Group of the user you want to log out.

Then, click Settings > Group Members.

Step 2:

Click the Pen icon of the user.

Step 3:

Click on the Registered Devices button.

Step 4:

Click the device you want to log the user out from.

Step 5:

Click on Logout.

Step 6:

Click on Ok.

This logs the user out immediately from their device.

 


 

Logging Out A User From All Devices

Step 1:

Select the Group of the user you want to log out from all their devices.

Then, click Settings > Group Members.

Step 2:

Click the Pen icon of the user.

Step 3:

Click on the Registered Devices button.

Step 4:

Click on Logout All Devices.

Step 5:

Click Ok.

This immediately logs the user out from all their devices.
