IMPORTANT NOTE
Chromebook notifications behave similarly to Android phones (think of your Chromebook as a large Android device with a keyboard). ⌨️
You’ll still need to tap notifications to open E3. (Screen override is supported only on Windows/Mac.)
Step 1:
Search "e3 safety" in the Google Play Store and hit Install.

Step 2:
Click Open to open the downloaded app.

Step 3:
As the app opens, tap the phone icon at the top and choose Resizable.

The Chromebook is essentially a big Android device with a keyboard. That is why you have the option to choose the app's orientation (phone/tablet/resizable).
Step 4:
Click Allow after tapping on Resizable and resize the app according to your preferences.

Step 5:
Enter your registered email with E3 and click Continue to receive a 6-digit log in code from your email inbox.
To create an account on Emergent3, you need an admin invitation email.

As you log in, popup messages will show to make sure your device will receive E3 alerts along with other crucial notifications on actual emergencies.
Follow the next steps to make sure your settings are correct.
Step 6:
As you log in, hit Ok on the message and allow E3 to bypass do-not-disturb from the settings.

Step 7:
As you bypass the do-not-disturb from settings, tap Ok on the battery optimization message and hit Ok again to proceed to the next step, as this is only for Android phones.

Step 8:
As you skip battery optimization, tap Ok and allow E3 to display over other apps from the settings.

Installing the E3 Chromebook Extension
You can now install E3 via a dedicated Chromebook browser extension, in addition to the Android app. This extension makes it easier to receive alerts directly in your browser and streamline E3 use on Chromebook devices.
Step 1:
Open the Chrome Web Store on your Chromebook’s browser.

Step 2:
Click Add to Chrome (or Install) to add the E3 extension to your browser.
Step 3:
-
Open the extension after installation.

-
Sign in using your registered E3 email.
-
Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your email (same as the mobile app login process).
Step 4:
After signing in, make sure notifications are enabled for the extension. This ensures you receive all E3 alerts without delay.
Once enabled, the extension will automatically pop out a new window whenever an alert goes off. It will also show a red dot when there is an active alert, so you can quickly see if immediate action is needed.
The extension works best when Chrome is open. If Chrome is closed entirely, alerts may be delayed until it is reopened.
Some Chromebooks may still require the Android app for full device integration. You can use both the app and the extension simultaneously, but make sure both are logged in with the same account.
