  • Notification Schedule
  • Group Subscription

Delivery Channels

Delivery Channels are the methods E3 uses to notify you when an alert or drill is activated.

You can manage how you want to receive notifications by enabling the available delivery channels.

1. Push Notification

Push Notification is the standard notification you receive through the E3 app when an alert is activated.

Push notifications are automatically enabled for all users and cannot be disabled. This ensures that users receive the standard E3 alert notification through the app.

2. Email

When Email is enabled, you will receive an email notification whenever an alert is activated within your organization.

E3 alert notification emails will be sent from: no-reply@emergent3.com

Tip: If you are not seeing E3 alert emails in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder and make sure emails from no-reply@emergent3.com are allowed.

3. Text Message

When Text Message is enabled, you can receive alert notifications through SMS.

To enable text message notifications:

  1.  Enter your phone number, then click Send Code

2.  A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your phone number.

3.  Enter the verification code, then click Verify and turn on Text Messages

Once your phone number is verified and Text Messages is enabled as a delivery channel, you will receive an SMS whenever an alert is activated for a school or building you are subscribed to.

Notification Schedule

The Notification Schedule allows you to control the days and times when you receive notifications.

When enabled, you can choose specific days and times during which you want to receive alert notifications.

1. Enable Notification Schedule

2. Click the dropdown next to Days & times

3. Select the specific days and time range when you want to receive notifications.

Your notification schedule applies to the notifications you receive through your enabled delivery channels.

Note: Notification Schedule availability may depend on your role and whether the setting has been enabled for you by an administrator or leadership team.

Vacation

The Vacation setting allows you to temporarily pause notifications when you are away, such as during vacation, leave, or other extended periods when you do not want to receive E3 notifications.

Use this option when you want to temporarily stop receiving E3 notifications during your time away.

1. Turn on the Pause All Notifications toggle.

2. Review the warning message explaining that notifications will be paused.

3. If you want to continue, click Turn On Anyway to confirm.

4. Set a Custom Vacation Period

You can customize your vacation settings by entering a start date and end date

E3 will pause your notifications during the selected period and resume them after the vacation period ends.

This allows you to set your vacation dates in advance without having to manually change your notification settings when you leave or return.

Group Subscription

Group Subscription allows you to choose which alerts you receive from each group you are a member of.

If you belong to multiple schools, buildings, or groups within your organization, you can manage which groups you want to receive notifications from. This helps you receive alerts that are relevant to the locations you are responsible for while limiting notifications from other groups.

For example, if you are a member of multiple school groups, you can choose to receive notifications from one school while not subscribing to notifications from another.

To manage your group subscriptions:

1. From your Profile > Notifications, select Group Subscription

2. Review the groups available to you.

3. Select the groups from which you want to receive notifications.

4. Customize your notification settings by turning the available options on or off

Your group subscription settings work together with your Delivery Channels and Notification Schedule to determine how and when you receive notifications.
