“Open the App in Background” Setting

This setting controls how the E3 desktop app behaves when your computer starts:

On (enabled): E3 runs in the background — the app window will not pop up on the screen. It will live in the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac).

Off (disabled): E3 will open visibly on screen at startup and reside in the system tray / menu bar.

 


 

Toggling on or off the "Open the app in background" setting

Step 1:

Click your profile icon in the top-right, then select App Settings.

Step 2:

In App Settings, toggle “Open the app in background” on or off. 

On (enabled): E3 runs in the background — the app window will not pop up on the screen. It will live in the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac).

Off (disabled): E3 will open visibly on screen at startup and reside in the system tray / menu bar.

 


 

Start up settings for Windows

To ensure E3 starts at login, confirm your system settings:

Step 1:

Open the Start menu, type “Startup Apps”, then open that settings page.

Step 2:

Find Emergent3 (or E3) in the list and toggle it On

 


 

Start up settings for Mac

Step 1:

Click the Apple icon → System Settings.

Step 2:

Go to General → Login Items.

Step 3:

Find Emergent3 LLC in the “Allow in the Background” list and toggle it On.
