Toggling on or off the "Open the app in background" setting
"Open the app in background" Behavior
This setting determines whether or not your E3 desktop app pops up on your screen when your computer starts up its home screen.
If toggled on, the E3 app window WILL NOT APPEAR on your screen when the computer loads, but will be open in the Windows system tray/Mac menu bar.
If toggled off, the E3 app window WILL APPEAR on your screen when the computer loads, and will still be open in the Windows system tray/Mac menu bar.
Toggling on or off the "Open the app in background" setting
Step 1:
Click on the top-right icon where your name and picture is displayed, then click on App Settings.
Step 2:
Toggle the "Open the app in background" setting on or off.
If toggled on, the E3 app window WILL NOT APPEAR on your screen when the computer loads, but will be open in the Windows system tray/Mac menu bar.
If toggled off, the E3 app window WILL APPEAR on your screen when the computer loads, and will still be open in the Windows system tray/Mac menu bar.
Start up settings for Windows
Step 1:
Open the Start menu, immediately type "startup apps", then click on the Startup Apps button from the results.
Step 2:
Look for Emergent3 in the startup apps list and make sure it is toggled on.
Start up settings for Mac
Step 1:
Click on the Apple icon from the top-left, then click on System Settings.
Step 2:
Click on General then click on Login Items.
Step 3:
Find Emergent 3 LLC from the Allow in the Background list and ensure that it is Toggled On.
