Learn how to manage active alerts in E3.

These steps can only be done during an active alert.

Ending an Alert

Toggling Alert Status Between Internal and External

Step 1:

In the Active Alerts section, select the relevant group and go to its Alerts tab.

Step 2:

witch the alert to Everyone (External Alert) if you want first responders or external users to see it.

To limit visibility, change it back to Organization (Internal Alert).

Step 3:

Confirm your choice by tapping Yes.

  • Escalating visibility sends the alert to all users, including external parties.

  • De-escalating restricts it to internal group members.

Clicking Yes on Escalate Visibility will immediately send the alert to first responders.

Changing Alert Type

Step 1:

Navigate to the same Alerts tab under the active alert’s group.

Step 2:

Click Change next to the current alert type.

Step 3:

Select a new alert type from the list.

Step 4:

Confirm by tapping Yes in the popup.

Note:

  • If your current alert is scoped (i.e. limited to a subset of users) and your new alert is not, it will immediately notify all users in that group.
  • Everyone affected will receive push notifications about the change.

Scoped Alerts: Send alerts to only a specified group of users

Changing the alert type will automatically notify all relevant parties about the update. A push notification will be sent to inform others of the modified alert type.
