Toggling Alert Status Between Internal and External

Step 1:

Choose the group that is under the active alerts section and go to the Alerts tab.

Step 2:

Change the alert to Everyone (External Alert) to loop in first responders.

If you originally sent an external alert, choose Organization (Internal Alert) to stop first responders from seeing the alert.

Step 3:

Click Yes to escalate or de-escalate visibility.

Clicking Yes on Escalate Visibility will immediately send the alert to first responders.

  • Escalate Visibility: Known as External visibility will notify all users within the organization, including external relations, for example, police, etc.
  • De-Escalate Visibility: Internal visibility will allow only those part of this group to see this alert.
